If you are applying for any of the following specific permits, they are available through our CSS portal. All other permits should be emailed to permits@beaumontca.gov.

Apply for Permit

The City of Beaumont accepts only digital submittals for permit and plan reviews. To apply for a permit you will need to provide a completed building permit application along with any supporting documentation, plans, and specifications. Once you have compiled the documents they can be emailed to the Permits General Mailbox for processing. We ask that you comply with the following:

  1. Only PDF documents are accepted.
  2. Each type document should be saved in a PDF format. Instructions on how to convert your non-PDF format to a PDF format can be found https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/acrobat/createpdf?x_api_client_id=adobe_com&x_api_client_location=createpdf
  3. Each document should be saved individually and labeled appropriately as to its contents. For example:
    1. Permit Application
    2. Site Plan
    3. Architectural Plans
    4. Structural Calcs
    5. Title 24 Calculations
    6. Truss Calcs

    Permit & Plan Review Status

    Whether you submit via the CSS Portal or via email, you can check the status of your permit thru the CSS Portal. By creating an account with the email you provided at submittal will link all the permits & plan reviews with the associated email address and you will have access to review the status. If you have created an account and you don't have access to a specific permit, email permits@beaumontca.gov and provide your name, email address and the permit or plan review you need access to and they can link the accounts. By having an account this will also allow for you to make payments and request inspection in the future.
